The work
I worked with Dr. Ghaith Husari to design and build Thor, a mobile robot based on Donkey Car and powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Nano. The robot performed real-time face mask classification and bounding-box detection onboard.
The work led to the first-author paper Thor: A Deep Learning Approach for Face Mask Detection to Prevent the COVID-19 Pandemic at IEEE SoutheastCon 2021. The publication entry includes the paper and citation details.
